Barnet 2-0 Fleetwood

Underhill

Barnet boosted their League Two survival hopes with a win over Fleetwood at Underhill on Tuesday.

Having already been on top Barnet finally managed a breakthrough at the midway point of the first half when Mark Byrne (23) followed up to score.

Fleetwood almost levelled before the break, however it was the hosts that held the advantage at the interval.

A mix up in the Fleetwood defence allowed Luke Gambin (60) to walk the ball into the net on the hour with Jon Nurse guilty of failing to ensure victory but 2-0 was enough for Barnet to move them two points clear of the drop zone and dent Fleetwood's play off hopes.
