Keen To Remain At Barnet

Edgar Davids isn't necessarily going to be leaving Barnet despite the clubs relegation from League Two on Saturday.

Davids, as he told BBC Late Kick Off London and the South East, needs to "evaluate things" with Tony Kleanthous but would "definitely" be open to staying with The Bees: 'I will have to evaluate things with the chairman in the coming weeks.

'I definitely want to be at Barnet. It is sad because League Two was a fun league to play in.

'I had a great time and it is sad it had to end this way.'

Would playing in Non-League be a "come down" for the 40-year-old? Asked that question he said no, adding: 'What do you mean comedown?

'I am not one who polishes his medals. It is what it is and you are where you are.

'If you have to go to the Conference, you go to the Conference.'

51 points were targeted as the benchmark for survival, Barnet achieved that but it wasn't enough. Davids departing if Barnet went down was something that would have been expected but perhaps that isn't going to be the case?
