Former Defender Forced To Retire
Barnet's former defender Simon King has been forced to retire from the game due to injury.
His retirement was confirmed by himself by a "tweet" on Monday, he said: 'I have (retired) due to injuries to both ankles. Started a personal training course today (Monday).'
King left Barnet, with a great future ahead of him expected, for £200,000 in 2007 but a serious ankle injury picked up playing for Gillingham in 2009 was never really recovered from and he left Gillingham last summer, being snapped up by Inverness. However, his performances were limited at the Scottish Premier League side.
Best of luck to the 30-year-old for the future with his personal training venture.
