'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Davids Stays On

Barnet have been boosted by the confirmation that Edgar Davids has agreed to stay on as the clubs head coach for next season.

Davids arrived in October last year to work alongside then head coach Mark Robson, however within two-months Robson moved on an the Dutchman took sole charge of The Bees.

In spite of an improvement the former Ajax, Milan and Juventus midfielder couldn't prevent League Two relegation.

Barnet chairman Tony Kleanthous, despite relegation, is happy with the direction that Davids is taking the club and backs the 40-year-old to do the business going forward.

He said: 'Last season ended disappointingly but I'm thrilled Edgar has decided to stay. I know he is the right man to take us forward.

'He has started a football revolution here and we hope we can maintain our new, attractive style of play.'

This is a boost to Barnet, and should attract some extra interest in Non-League that might not have been there otherwise.
