I'm No.1 And You Won't Forget It!

I'm No.1 And You Won't Forget It!

He's already the player-manager, captain and even at 40 probably the clubs best player but if anyone was under any doubt just who was the boss Edgar Davids has outlined this.

In an unorthodox move (then again as this Davids we're talking about, is it?) Davids will wear the no.1 shirt this season for Barnet.

There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance, personally I do not think that the former Dutch international is showing arrogance (or arguably undue confidence for that matter) with this move but what I think he is doing is sending out a reminder that "he's the daddy!"

I do wonder if this is going to "start a new trend" as he says it might, at least Graham Stack has no objection to not being the no.1. The Bees keeper insists he's happy to retain his no.29 shirt from last season and numbers mean little to him.
