Akinde In Team Of The Week (28/3/17)

Akinde In Team Of The Week (28/3/17)

Barnet are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by John Akinde in the three one victory over Cheltenham Town at the weekend at The Hive was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Akinde was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Akinde moved level at the top of the Sky Bet League Two scoring charts with a quickfire brace as Barnet came back to beat Cheltenham Town. With the sides all square, the Bees target man netted in the 77th and 79th minute to clinch the points.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Akinde for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Dean Lyness (Blackpool), Richard Duffy (Notts County), Sonny Bradley (Plymouth Argyle), Mark Beevers (Bolton Wanderers), Matt Dolan (Yeovil Town), Callum Camps (Rochdale), Josh Payne (Crawley Town), George Cooper (Crewe Alexandra), Ivan Toney (Scunthorpe United), John Akinde (Barnet), Chris Porter).

Manager - Luke Williams (Swindon Town).
